What information should be on my pet’s tag?

Tagging your pet is only helpful if you put the right information on it. Information essentials are:

  • Family Surname (not revealing your pet’s name on the tag may help protect them from theft)
  • You current phone number
  • Additional phone number of someone you trust (just in case you are unable to answer your phone)
  • Other important information: “I’m microchipped”; “I’m allergic to_____”; “I’m diabetic”; “I’m shy” etc.
But my pet is microchipped. Do I need an I.D. tag?
